Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Program Administrator Supervisor for the Institute for Families at the School of Social Work. There will be two positions hired, using the business title of Senior Training Supervisor and CQI Supervisor, both reporting to the Manager of Human Services.Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Oversees a team of full-time and/or per diem trainers educating professionals who support family members across the state.
  • Provides ongoing recruitment, supervision and coaching of trainers assigned to in-person and web-based courses for professionals working in New Jersey's child support system.
  • Provides direct training services according to program needs.
  • Provides individual and group coaching sessions to enhance trainers' skills and introduce tools and activities that maximize learner engagement and acquisition of knowledge and skills through methods that include technical assistance sessions, 1on1 supervision, and coordination of certification and train-the-trainer events.
  • Supervises a team that may include full-time trainers and per diem trainers.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Training, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, Child Development, or Communications.
  • Five (5) years of facilitative training experience with adult learners.
Certifications/Licenses
  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Expertise in competencies supporting professional presentation skills.
  • Experience with a variety of engaging and interactive instructional strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and cultural sensitivity,
  • Strong group processing skills,knowledge of classroom management and transfer of learning strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including setting up and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Use of presentation software and inputting data online.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Training, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, Child Development, or Communications.
  • Seven years of facilitative training experience with adult learners.
  • Experience in a human service field as demonstrated by at least five years' experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable practice models, and/or fluency in the policies, legislation, and workforce systems supporting the field.
