Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Accounting Clerk in the construction/contractor industry. Located in New Castle, Pennsylvania, this role will involve handling a range of accounting and project coordination tasks within our team.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and receivable duties with accuracy and efficiency

• Grow into additional responsibilities such as billing, general payroll, and vendor relations

• Utilize Viewpoint software for various accounting tasks

• Leverage your previous experience in the commercial contracting industry to enhance your performance

• Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilize skills in Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Collections - Commercial, and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Use Microsoft Word and Excel for various tasks

• Reconcile Vendor Statements and manage customer contracts. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounting Clerk role within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Proficient in Billing procedures and practices

• Experienced in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Skilled in Commercial Collections processes

• Ability to reconcile Vendor Statements accurately

• Familiarity with Customer Contracts within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
