Position Description:

PAR Technology has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to join its growing corporate controllership function. The Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting, will play a crucial role in building a world-class accounting team. What We're Looking For:

Entrees (Requirements):

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience required
  • High aptitude and drive
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data modeling

With a Side of (Highly Preferred):

  • CPA (or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience in public accounting preferred
  • Experience within public company organizations preferred
  • Proficiency with Workiva, Planful, and/or Microsoft PowerBI preferred

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

  • SEC Reporting
    • Own quarterly preparation of the Company's 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K earnings release reports as well as ad-hoc Section 16 filings with the SEC
    • Drive continuous improvement in our financial reporting including financial statement line item presentations, key performance indicators, and management discussion & analysis
  • Technical Accounting
    • Perform technical accounting research ranging from the evaluation of new ASUs, accounting treatment for significant and unusual transactions, establishing accounting policies for new business transactions, and continuously improving existing policies.
    • Own quarterly and ad-hoc preparation of technical accounting memos
  • Management Reporting
    • Support the administration of our management reporting platform, Planful, including designing and maintaining financial dimension mappings, hierarchies, scenarios, translation tables, allocations, reports, and statistical loads
  • Special projects
    • Identify opportunities for modernization of the Company's accounting & reporting technology solutions, and drive department review, adoption and implementation of proposed applications.
    • Contribute to special projects at direction of CAO & CFO Office, including ASC 805 activities following corporate M&A events.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.
