We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Accounting Manager to become a key member of our dynamic finance and accounting team. In this role, you will support our commercial segment by leading general accounting procedures and working closely with both corporate and business-level finance teams.

This position will be onsite in New Haven, CT full-time reporting the Senior Director, Accounting and Financial Analysis.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the monthly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed account analysis.

  • Manage intercompany allocations and billings, ensuring financial transparency across all levels of the organization.

  • Maintain the global chart of accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment between local and corporate financial reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, supporting both internal and external audit activities to uphold financial integrity.

  • Contribute to financial integration activities for newly acquired businesses, including preparing purchase price allocation (PPA).

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of accounting policies and procedures, and manage accounting, tax, and segment files.

  • Provide in-depth financial analysis, including cost-benefit analyses, financial modeling, and variance analysis to support capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

  • Offer technical accounting guidance to various subgroups within the organization.

  • Participate in special projects and financial analyses as needed, contributing to the continued success of our business.

    What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required; a Master’s Degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification are highly preferred.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounting Manager.

  • 2-4 years of experience in public/private accounting, with a preference for candidates with a background in manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and financial statement presentation.

  • Proficiency in using various financial systems for data retrieval and analysis. Proficiency in working with different systems to retrieve and analyze data.

    Preferred Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working within a matrix organization, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
