Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant with previous experience in a manufacturing setting to join their team in a hybrid position!

Located in Bridgeport, CT

This is a contract position

Pay: $100k - $135k DOE

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform routine accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Conduct research and analysis to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in financial data.

• Support inventory management processes, including periodic reviews and audits.

• Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and relevant compliance standards.

• Assist in the development and documentation of operational procedures and guidelines.

• Provide financial insights to support decision-making and process improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial and operational challenges.

• Contribute to system updates and process enhancements.

• Analyze financial trends and metrics to inform business strategies.

• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with a manufacturing background preferred.

• MBA or CPA certification is a plus but not required.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, SAP, Oracle).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, v-lookup, SUMIF).

Travel Requirements:

• Travel may be required up to 15% domestically.
