The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives. This position will partner with business leaders to implement and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This role will provide support and guidance to managers and employees in all areas of HR, compensation, payroll, benefits and general policy interpretation.

  • Consult with managers and staff on employee relations issues; ensures the integrity of the company’s progressive disciplinary policy by active participation in the disciplinary process.

  • Consults with leaders to ensure effective performance management, talent development, and succession planning.

  • Manage talent acquisition, talent development, and performance management as well as provide guidance on organizational design.

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the Senior HR Management and Legal as needed/required.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Supports new employees in their onboarding/integration and exiting employees in their offboarding.

  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.

  • Provides guidance and input on restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.

  • Identifies and organizes training needs for departments and individuals.

  • Promotes a positive work environment for all employees.

  • Assures compliance with company policies and Federal, State, and Local employment laws.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

  • Recommends innovative approaches, solutions, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel

This position requires <15% travel, typically to our other manufacturing locations or off-site team meetings or trainings. Frequently, travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software

  • Thorough knowledge of HR employment, benefit and compensation laws and regulations including those such as: FLSA, HIPAA, EEOC, ERISA, OSHA, State Workers' Compensation, FMLA, ADA/ADAA, ACA and state and federal wage and hour practices

  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • PHR or SPHR Certification

  • Experience Oracle and/or ADP

  • Bilingual Spanish/English
