BUSINESS: York Building Products (YBP) - Masonry

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

LOCATION: New Holland, PA

JOB SUMMARY:

The QC Lab Tech is responsible for pulling samples of block and aggregates, inspection of truck beds, entering information in the system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Pull samples of block and aggregate. Samples up to 50 pounds per sample.

  • Inspection of all truck beds.

  • Responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating, facilitating and managing aspects of the QC lab.

  • Mixing color to order, verification of the design.

  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism when working with employees, customers, and business associates at all levels.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Experience in working with state and federal documents.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Ability to work extended hours during peak season.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

  • The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

  • Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Capable of working at height and in confined spaces.

  • Capable of shoveling wet, sticky, material for extended periods of time.
