Job Description

Writes, plans and organizes Public Relations initiatives for the health system.

Job Responsibility

  • Reaches out to news media to promote clinical initiatives of the organization, its hospitals, and clinical service lines.

  • Writes news releases, advisories, and other communications in support of media outreach efforts.

  • Arranges prints and broadcasts news interviews for organization and hospital physicians and other staff.

  • Plans news conferences and other promotional events in support of communications efforts.

  • Conducts interviews and writes stories for organization and hospital digital properties, newsletters, and magazines.

  • Coordinates photo assignments for digital properties, newsletters and media outreach.

  • Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

Highly Preferred:

  • Agency or Newsoom experience preferred.

  • Healtercare experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is $58,540-$92,650/year
