Custom Protective Services seeking security officers to work in our medical offices in Nassau County. Positions are available in Manhasset, New Hyde Park, Glencove, Bethpage, Great Neck, Levittown and Yaphank.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

Multiple Fulltime/Weekend Shifts Available. Both security officers and rover postings available.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state/city licensing requirements for Security Officers

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

• Clean cut, corporate appearance required.

• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.

• Courteous telephone manner.

• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.

• Good organizational skills.

• Ability to provide high-quality customer service.

• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.

• Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others.

• Frequent standing and walking, which may be required for long periods, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up incline

Rover Responsibilities:

• Secured premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment while in vehicle

• Responded quickly to incidents and assessed active situation for security concerns.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current New York State Security Guard License

• Current New York State Training Certifications (16 HR OJT and/or 8 HR Annual).

• Computer knowledge to include proficiency in Windows, MS Word, typing

• Must have valid Drivers License with clean record if offered roving position

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be fully vaccinated.

Pay: $17.25 per hour
