JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State New Kensington, located approximately 20 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, is seeking applications for the position of Learning Center Coordinator. The person in this role supports the campus community in its mission to foster student persistence, well-being, and success.

Job Responsibilities: Oversee on-site provision of services (e.g. proctored testing, note-taking) for students who receive accommodations due to cognitive learning disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA); facilitate accommodation-request intake services and protocols in collaboration with campus and regional partners; Coordinate management and delivery of on-site tutoring services including recruiting, hiring, and training of peer tutors; manage all HR processes for tutors; Supervise and/or support academic success programs and related initiatives targeted for special populations (e.g. adult learners, athletes, international students) and to support enhancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in campus/university community; Manage budgets for tutoring services and special programming; Support delivery of academic coaching and recovery plan building for students experiencing academic difficulty; Serve as member of collaborative campus team that manages referrals of at-risk students to provide holistic student support; Support and assist with delivery of related academic support, engagement, and orientation activities as needed; Serve on campus Student Success and Retention Team to develop programmatic evidence-based initiatives to improve student academic success outcomes.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 1 year of directly related experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $42,100.00 - $61,000.00
