EJ Branch Truck Driver in New Lenox, Illinois

EJ has an immediate opening for a Branch Truck Driver. Local deliveries, Monday thru Friday, 40 hours work week, no weekends, occasional overtime. Location: New Lenox, IL SUMMARY Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations and operates a fork lift for the general purpose of stacking, and organizing casting products in yard, as well as loading and unloading trucks as assigned by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization. * Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. * Safely load, secure, and deliver construction castings to job sites. * Safely assist customers with the loading and unloading of material. * Recognize product and assist in the gathering, inspection and loading of material for pick-up customers and deliveries. * Maintain delivery/receiving/inventory paperwork and records as needed. * Operates a forklift to handle inventory, stack, load, and unload product in a safe, efficient manner. * Inventory Control: Receives and unloads inventory from incoming trucks. Helps organize/maintain yard inventory and inspects product to ensure quality. * Maintains electronic truck log, according to state and federal guidelines. * Performs inspection checks on all vehicles. * Load securement of product on trucks and trailers per FMCSA requirements. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent, and two or more years of safety-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. REQUIREMENTS * Must be 21 years of age * Class A CDL with clean driving record * DOT Medical Card * Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests * Must be able to drive manual transmission * Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds * Must be highly reliable and dependable PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
