Quality Engineer

Our client, a world-renowned digital instrument manufacturer is currently seeking a Quality Engineer. This is a direct hire opening with good benefits.

Position Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing product performance, troubleshooting, and measuring parts

  • Ensuring corporate protocols are followed.

  • Supporting the assembly department to ensure the quality of the end product.

  • Vendor selection and management, including:

  • Working with our parent company (our largest supplier and customer)

  • Managing suppliers for the Assembly department (plastic, optics, machining, electronics, etc.)

  • Conducting capability studies, audits, and ensuring controls are in place at suppliers.

  • Verifying components upon receipt

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.

  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of the assembly line to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Collaborate with international engineering and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

  • Analyze quality data and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.

  • Train assembly staff on quality control processes and best practices

  • Maintain detailed records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A Quality Engineer with aspirations to become a Quality Manager at a small company.

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, tools, and manufacturing processes

  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in a technical field, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree

  • Must be willing to travel to the UK for 1 week each year.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 annually + 0-5% production bonus based on yearly company performance (typically averages about 3%)
