Summary:
Provide quality control and assurance of product to meet specifications and quality requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains and reports product conformance to engineering and customer specifications through inspection of raw materials, work in process and finished goods inventories.*
- Reviews production process for conformance to quality standards.*
- Reports and tracks any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action to appropriate management.*
- Establishes and presents regular training for employees on quality issues and develops programs to encourage each employee to perform quality control as part of operations.*
- Participates in new product development to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented prior to beginning production.*
- Visits suppliers to review quality concerns and issues to minimize inspection requirements.*
- Determines validity of customer complaints via customer contact, blueprint interpretation and/or inspection of returned goods.*
- Completes quality surveys received from current or potential customers.*
- Acts as liaison for all matters relating to quality of produced goods.*
- Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.*

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Microsoft Office - Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
