Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk for our client based in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your primary role will be to manage the administrative and clerical needs of our AP/Finance Department. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with Company policies by executing daily processes and controls accurately and promptly

• Contributing to the efficiency of our AP/Finance Department by managing the sorting, logging, photocopying, and filing of invoices, checks, and other documents

• Assisting with both internal and external audits as required

• Providing exceptional service to our internal business partners

• Processing checks, including logging and mailing, with special handling expedited when necessary

• Handling the distribution of daily department mail

• Undertaking special projects as assigned

• Resolving A/P issues, including matching and batch coding

• Contributing to the accuracy of our financial records by updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the G/L

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Familiarity with Check Runs is necessary

• Coding Invoices knowledge is essential

• Strong Data Entry skills are needed

• Expertise in Invoice Processing is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is important

• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
