JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor, IFTS ii responsible for the efficient operations of the export or import group, servicing existing clients as well ensuring team members have balanced workloads.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain acceptable levels of service within the department

  • Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure operating efficiency.

  • Prepare documents for shipments with carriers (via truck, ocean, air) as needed by clients.

  • Ensure billing and documentation processes are up to date for department.

  • Track attendance for department in time and attendance system

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.

  • Ensure staff meet all departmental KPI’s

  • Oversee operational matters for the particular line of business

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to resolve problems and issues effectively

  • Solid knowledge of transportation procedures and policies

  • Strong knowledge of International ocean/air transportation documentation requirements

  • Multi-tasked oriented, ability to handle a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Team player with solid interpersonal skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Software (Word, Excel)

  • Strong desire to understand P & L statements

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

3 years of related experience

EDUCATION

Required: High School/GED or equivalent

Preferred: Associates Degree or post-secondary education in Transportation
