• Location: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital – STAT unit – New Port Richey, Florida

• Status: Full Time

• Shift: 9:45 AM - 10:15 PM

• Every other weekend requirement

• On Call: No

• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• 1-year experience as an RN in an Acute Care setting

• Preferred : 1-year experience in the ICU, Emergency Room or STAT RN in an Acute Care setting

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – STAT responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for critical patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Supporting all units with rounding on patients, STEMI, Stroke and Code Blues

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery and following up with patients when downgraded from ICU

• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments

• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

• Professional accountability and development
