Actalent Medical Technologist in New Providence, New Jersey

Job Title: Medical TechnologistJob Description

Join our dedicated team as a Medical Technologist, where you will follow clinical laboratory standards and support various laboratory procedures. Your main responsibilities will include flow cytometry, blood bank procedures, and molecular testing. You will work with immunology samples in a high complexity HLA transplant laboratory, performing tasks such as ABO and HLA typing, antibody testing, screening, and identification. Your role involves handling blood or tissue samples and operating specialized equipment like FACSLyric, LABScan 10, and Linkseq.

Hard Skills

  • BS in MLS or life science

  • ASCP certification

  • Experience in blood bank, molecular procedures, or flow cytometry

Soft Skills

  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods

  • Team collaboration

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in New Providence, New Jersey.

Work Environment

This role requires working a shift from 4pm-12am, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends (at least one Saturday or Sunday per month). Initial training will be from 8am-4pm. The work environment includes a beautiful campus with a large cafeteria, individual lockers, and a friendly, open-space lab with plenty of natural light. Our team is supportive and enthusiastic about welcoming new members.
