The Lease Compliance Specialist performs duties under the direct supervision of the Lease Compliance Manager. The Lease Compliance Specialist is knowledgeable about applicable tribal, and federal standards, including HUD regulations. This position will manage the process of residents' re-certification, rent increase, utility allowance changes, controlled expenses, and tenant satisfaction.

Lease Compliance Specialist will assist the LC Manager in preparation for all site reviews, Management and Occupancy Review (MOR), Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Reviews, and Mutual Help Ownership. Assist Manager to maintain counseling and consumer education for low-income tenants. Assist Manager to review and upgrade the Lease Compliance Department. Maintain a comprehensive record keeping system. Implement Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act rules and regulations pertaining to housing tenants. Create an understanding between 1937 Housing Act and NAHASDA regulations to low-income tenants and community members. Prepare all paperwork for the On-site Property Manager to final approval prior to tenants moving in and transferring to different units. Update and maintain accurate resident information; submit required company, governmental, or agency reports. And other duties according to the FBHA job description and other duties as assigned.
