FST Technical Services Commissioning Senior Engineer in New York City, New York

FST Technical Services Commissioning (Cx) division is one of the leading Cx firms in the country. We partner with clients for quality assurance in the design, construction, and post-acceptance phases of building projects. We ensure that equipment in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated systems are designed, installed, and functionally tested to meet the clients requirements and design intent. 

For this position of Senior Engineer on offer includes an excellent salary and benefits package. 

The Senior Engineer will directly be responsible to meet target billable hours as defined by annual operating plan and Regional Director of Engineering. In addition, the individual will focus on providing technical oversight and support to the team within the region.   

In detail, responsibilities are the following:

Essential Functions:

  • Engineering Mentorship / Leadership

  • Provide leadership and support, as assigned, to support the growth and development of other engineering staff members.

  • Participate in company training and safety initiatives.

  • Client Maintenance / Quality Assurance

  • Involved in high-level client maintenance to provide assurance to all existing clients that the quality of the services delivered are closely examined and under scrutiny. 

  • Working with executive management, directors, team leaders/engineering managers to develop and ensure standards are developed and maintained, specifically in the areas of quality assurance and training.

  • Revenue Generating Activities

  • Support company revenue targets by leading or supporting existing projects as assigned.

  • Project assignments will be based on areas of expertise, relationship with the client and other strategic client initiatives.

  • Must be capable of meeting billing utilization targets set

  • Business Development

  • Support company sales initiatives as requested by the Director of Engineering

  • Lead and / or participate in client and educational presentations, trade shows, etc.

  • Support business plan by initiating and developing new relationships with strategic clients and/or in strategic markets or market sectors.

  • Any special projects as required

    Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering

  • 8+ years Engineering Experience

  • P.E., LEED AP, or CCP a plus

  • Excellent customer relation skills

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Excellent coach and mentor skills

  • Strong financial and analytical skills

  • Ability to present in front of a group of people

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Physical fitness, capable of lifting 30 pounds or more and climbing ladders

  • Must be willing to travel across the tri-state area with added flexibility to travel to other regions being an advantage

Pay range $120,000 - $200,000 based on experience.
