The Global Assistance and Protection (GAP) Executive Protection Associate Manager is a critical member of the GAP team. This role’s primary responsibility is to support the GAP Executive Protection (EP) and Events mission by providing expertise in coordinating protective operations and event security protocols. The incumbent will support residential security initiatives, executive travel, facility assessments, event security initiatives, and close protection duties.

In this role, the incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional partners, contractors, and vendors on threat response plans, executive transportation/travel logistics, persons of interest investigations, behavioral threat assessment investigations, security asset monitoring, and travel tracking programs. The incumbent will also work closely with global event planners at Accenture-hosted events and external events where Accenture personnel are present in their region. In addition, this role could have other crisis management/incident management responsibilities and be involved in facility standards design and access control and security technology implementations.

This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Protective Services and works closely with GAP’s Regional Protective Services team. The incumbent is expected to develop a close, collaborative relationship with leadership from Accenture’s Businesses and Corporate Functions, including the Office of the CEO, CIO, Cyber Security, Legal, Travel, Workplace, Meetings & Events, Marketing & Communications, as well as HR. The incumbent is expected to liaise with domestic and foreign law enforcement, diplomatic organizations, intelligence services and other government entities.

The incumbent will provide executive protection and general security leadership in a complex corporate environment that values collaboration, independent thinking, proactive problem-solving, integrity, collegiality, efficiency, and continuous organizational transformation. They will have a strong knowledge of physical security and crisis management, deal with difficult and sensitive situations appropriately, have strong writing skills with the ability to craft succinct executive briefings quickly and clearly, and be passionate about customer service and executive presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts residential security initiatives impacting Accenture’s executives, to include the maintenance of emergency response team protocols, development of incident reporting procedures and security assessments of identified properties as required.

  • Coordinates with vendors and accompanying support (if appropriate) for facility security and executive travel, in conjunction with ensuring threat/risk assessments are conducted as needed.

  • Coordinates with Accenture’s 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOCs) for executive protection and event asset monitoring, geo-fence recommendations, and incident notification.

  • Collaborates closely with other GAP teams for executive protection threat assessments, regional risk concerns, persons of interest investigations, behavioral threat assessments, workplace violence prevention and planning, and threat response management.

  • Conducts facility assessments in line with Accenture facility standards, including executive-specific security standards.

  • Ensures that executive leadership travel is managed by risk level, with necessary understanding of the risks involved with the business travel, and that they are provided the support and training needed to manage these risks.

  • Participates in incident and crisis response drills/exercises.

  • Conducts risk/threat/vulnerability assessments, security advances for executive leadership travel, site advances for events, and other areas as identified.

  • Collaborates frequently with event planners at all levels, participating in pre-planning calls for significant upcoming events, coordinating appropriate event security support and staffing, and serving as the primary point of contact for significant events within the assigned region.

  • Serves as the primary close protection agent for executives as needed, which may require management of the executive’s personal logistics and coordination with executive staff.

  • Ensures adherence to corporate policies, specifically in the areas of privacy and record retention.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Incumbent must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate and can travel on short notice, to include internationally.

  • Expected travel is significant, up to 50%.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in executive protection and event security

  • Bachelor’s Degree

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialized training in executive protection, logistics, and or event security.

  • Private Sector work in executive protection

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).

  • Fluency in other languages.

  • An advanced degree.

    Professional Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting, either government or civilian

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting, either government or civilian

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
