TITLE: Manager, U.S. Credit Risk, Reporting & Governance

DUTIES: The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Manager, U.S. Credit Risk, Reporting & Governance in New York, NY to contribute to the team’s efficient and effective credit risk assessment, credit adjudication and portfolio risk management. Support the production of US Credit Risk’s portfolio reports and tools and assist in the development of additional credit related reports and data management tools, supporting credit data error identification and resolution processes and other credit related projects as assigned. Report development activities include creating, designing, developing and testing credit risk portfolio reports and tools for presentation to Scotiabank U.S. senior management, regulators and other audiences. Develop and enhance reports and analytical and tracking tools in the PowerBI, Excel and other platforms. Develop controls to further enhance the data quality of U.S. Credit’s reports. Perform portfolio reporting and monitoring activities. Manage the organization and distribution of portfolio data and collection of responses of U.S. Credit’s data quality and review process, supporting the data quality officer. Manage the daily review of the counterparty credit risk report including producing and circulating the daily aggregation and limit monitoring report, investigating errors and monitoring limit compliance, testing and validating enhancements to the U.S. counterparty credit risk reporting suite. Manage the preparation of various weekly and monthly reports; provide responses and analytical support for frequent ad hoc reporting and portfolio information requests for senior management, U.S. Credit, regulators and other constituents. Develop data quality controls. Manage the data incident U.S. Credit portfolio review process. Update and manage the data quality of the workbooks for various U.S. Credit portfolio reports in the Power BI and Encore platforms, and review and check the accuracy of U.S. Credit’s Leveraged Lending and Shared National Credit reporting.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing experience with data management and report building in a financial institution; utilizing financial and accounting experience including working with complex financial products, credit data and process; utilizing SQL, Power Point, and Excel reporting building and data management tools; working with wholesale banking loan products. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $139,006 and $139,006 per year. 40 hours per week.
