As a Scent Design Manager, you will be responsible for developing creative strategies and leading regional projects as well as having some global project exposure. In this role, you will further develop business knowledge, potentially leveraging consumer feedback, and grow technical expertise, increasing IFF's ability to win in the marketplace. You will utilize internal processes/programs/tools to support the overall Personal Care business strategy. The position will be in our New York City Creative Center. Partnering with Perfumers to design/ create fragrance solutions against Personal Care briefs and initiative objectives. Developing, driving, & executing olfactive strategies to support the success of the Personal Care regional/category business. Utilizing existing experience in product/ fragrance development Managing fragrance selection and identifying new winning themes for incoming briefs Knowing how to effectively screen down fragrance themes against project objectives. Ensuring timeline and budget requirements are met. Articulating clearly project process from beginning to end, including having the story telling skills to present to customers (internal/ external) Strong project management skills, communicating with various functions (perfumers, consumer insights, marketing, scent technology, commercial, management, etc.) Leveraging potential cross category fragrance themes for Personal Care projects Partner with ST&I (Scent Technology & Innovation) teams to ensure performance and stability. Understand consumer habits & attitudes and apply them on fragrance performance and liking. Leveraging IFF's Scent Portfolio for optimal efficiency in project work. Willing to discuss and co-design consumer testing methods, questionnaires, etc. and applying the output insights from studies into creative development. Understanding the market trends and shifts, and be able to partner with marketing on regular basis to share olfactive and brand knowledge. Creates and facilitates fragrance training internally and to clients externally. Ensuring personal development is a priority, aligning to IFF's category and business objectives. Job Requirements Required Experience : Bachelor's degree / Masters degree, preferably in marketing, chemistry, or in Fragrance Excellent olfactive capabilities (candidates will be required to complete internal smelling test) Min 3 years of industry experience (fragrance house) Personal Care development preferred (shower gel & bar soap) Project Management experience, with fragrance/ product development Technical understanding of Personal care products Required Skills: Proficient in English Excellent communication skills (written / verbal) with all levels of the organization Creative mindset Team player Organized and agile Strategic thinker and problem solver Embraces diversity Strong interperson
