Purpose

Business Group: GWRT-GCMT-Commodities, FX Options & Derivatives Technology US is seeking a Senior in Capital Markets (Commodities Trading Area) Business Analyst for projects that involve working with a team in developing and enhancing regulatory initiatives and other initiatives relevant to the existing commodity trading system. The product is fully in production also requires a number of enhancements – the Business Analyst will be working on BA activities for that product with a strong focus on the regulatory reporting for commodities trading.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with Regulatory and Compliance technology teams on ensuring that business requirements can be implemented and reporte

  • Work with Commodities Front Office Sales and Trading as well as other groups (Middle and Back Office) on documenting requirements and gap analysis

  • Work with other technology teams as an SME to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented

  • Work on test plans and UAT coordination

What You’ll Bring

Must Have Skills/Requirements:

  • BA within Capital Markets– 7+ years of experience

  • Significant experience and knowledge of Commodity markets in the US/Canada including Oil and Natural Gas – 5+ years of hands on experience

  • Extensive knowledge of the regulatory space in Commodities, including DFA (Dodd Frank), Canadian and European (EMIR) regulations – 5+ years of hands on experience

  • Strong working experience with either in-house built Commodities systems or vendor Commodities trading systems such as Triple Point CommodityXL (preferred) or OpenLink Endur – 3+ years of hands on experience

  • Knowledge of commodity instruments and their lifecycle (Swaps, Futures, Options) – 4+ years of hand on experience

  • Strong Knowledge of Market Risk as it relates to Derivatives products in the Commodities space (or a different asset class). This includes understanding of higher order greeks for options and cross sensitivities (between WTI and FX, WTI and IR for e.g.), pricing and P/L – 4+ years of hands on experience

  • Technical skills such as SQL (writing SQL queries & extract from a database), scripting, Excel – 3+ year of hands on experience

  • Strong experience in creating Test document, coordinating UAT testing with end users – 7+ year of hands of experience

  • Extensive knowledge in writing Business Requirement documents, Functional Requirement documents, and user manual – 7+ years of hands of experience

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Previous Business experience

  • Experience in commodity trading company, Bank or hedge fund

  • CFA

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills – verbal (working with multiple stakeholders) & written (clear document requirements)

  • Go getter, self-starter

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
