Pfizer Senior Director, PGS Finance Global External Supply in New York City, New York

The Finance Lead for Global External Supply will oversee all aspects of financial management and operational finance for PGS Global External Supply. This colleague will be the finance business partner for the Senior Vice President of the OpU and a member of their Leadership Team and will also be on the PGS Finance Leadership Team.

This position is responsible for delivering timely financial reporting and strategic analysis, financial processes, and systems to Global External Supply as well as maintaining a proper financial internal control environment. As part of this role, this colleague would support financial oversight over the strategically important VSOT/Substantial Contribution model, interactions with Tax on supply chain optimization and net income benefit strategies.

Responsibilities will also include P&L reporting for the PC1 business which currently has Revenue of $1Bn.

The role will oversee finance teams who provide finance support to the business. Total team size is 25 colleagues in the US, Ireland, Singapore, and Luxembourg

Global External Supply has circa 135 colleagues and is responsible for:

  • 300+ External Suppliers (CMO's) across 43 countries

Scope is:

  • $3Bn+ of material procurement from CMOs

  • $1B of P&L for the new PC1 Business Operations Model through contracting of internal manufacturing capacity to third parties

This position will be a member of the PGS Finance and External Supply Leadership Teams, which helps set the strategic direction for PGS Finance ensuring colleague engagement and development. This team also ensures PGS Finance leadership on Pfizer Inc. global initiatives and special projects.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the financial strategy to ensure GES Operations achieves its objectives

  • Pro-actively collaborates with GES organization to deliver Finance commitments and identify / deliver strategic and value drivers

  • Develop annual Opu budgets aligned with Enterprise Targets

  • Play a lead role in the analysis & development of effective strategies including VSOT/Sub Con financial flows

  • Play a lead role in all OpU for ad Hoc strategic projects

  • Monitor and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results. Partner with GBS in successfully performing month end close activities

  • Maintain a proper internal control environment

  • Ensure compliance and consistency to processes and procedures, to ensure business continuity

  • Member of OpU Leadership Team, contributing to decision making and strategic planning

  • Ensure that sites are audit ready at all times for either internal or external review

  • Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement

  • Fosters our Leader Values and Behaviors

  • Development of staff at all plants - clear communication of objectives and follow-up on attainment of these objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of experience as Finance Leader and Business partner in complex and dynamic organizations and environment (18+ years of experience with MBA or CPA/CA). Manufacturing Finance experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance or related field

  • Strong financial and business acumen

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and controls

  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure and to effectively develop business partner relationships is critical

  • Previous experience in managing in a large complex environment at a global scale

  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal / relationship management skills, including executive level interactions; successful experience managing managers and colleagues across wide spectrum of cultures and geographies; high performance history of providing clear direction, team alignment, executing priorities and delivering results.

  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyze and assimilate data for critical business decisions in a timely manner

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time sensitive environment

  • Growth mindset. Ability to navigate in complexity and taking decisions under uncertainty

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advance business degree (MBA or CPA/CA)

  • Experience in manufacturing finance

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
