BASF Corporation is seeking an Account Manager & Omega-3 North American Sales lead to oversee the NA Omega-3 market. In this role, you will manage an assigned mix of pharmaceutical customers primarily focused on the pharmaceutical and nutritional Omega-3 market in a professional manner by actively visiting the customer base to understand and capture their needs, positively promote BASF Pharma capabilities, and match customer needs with BASF Pharma Ingredients Solutions.

As a Account Manager & Omega-3 NA Sales Lead - Remote (East Coast Location Preferred), you create chemistry by...

  • Managing a portfolio of Pharma Solutions customers in the United States and serve as the central point of contact for customers to develop commercial proposals for short- mid- and long-term growth, provide solutions to competitive issues and customer needs, and interface on credit and payment issues, etc.

  • Using your strong conceptual skills, commercial expertise and knowledge of Pharma ingredients (particularly the Omega-3 market) to establish effective account plans for Omega-3 Key Accounts and Regional focus Accounts, Relationship Mapping, Event Planning and Regular Quarterly Business Meetings and Technical meetings.

  • Steering the direction of your customer portfolio and promote BASF Pharma platforms & functionality features and benefits of BASF Ingredients to customer teams and set joint Sales and New Business Development Pipeline value targets as well as aligned measures, timelines and KPIs for implementation and progress tracking.

  • Accelerating the expansion of Omega-3 market share through customer partnerships and achieve the Sales Goals: including execution of global Omega-3 strategy focused on driving commercial, technical and sustainability activities.

  • Owning aggressive growth targets for NA sales and the new business development pipeline value and support customers with multinational presence and teams.

  • Developing sales to the generic Omega-3 market by fostering new relationship and growing the business across all the generic customer base located in NA.

  • Proactively coordinating with the global Omega-3 business management team and steering the direction of your customer portfolio providing regular, timely and proactive reports including financial performance, highlights/lowlights, potential new/lost business, pricing, and market intelligence such as industry and customer trends.

If you have...

  • Experience in a commercial (ideally sales, product management, marketing) or technical role within the pharmaceutical industry and strong customer centricity.

  • Strong conceptual skills, commercial expertise and knowledge of Pharma ingredients (particularly the Omega-3 market)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and entrepreneurial drive.

  • Business development expertise, hunting mentality and collaborative way of working.

  • Proven success in cooperating in global and cross-functional teams.

  • Deep understanding of customer needs, as well as technical experience and understanding.

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
