Bloomberg LP Accountant 3 in New York, New York

Job Duties: Responsible for Bloomberg revenue and indirect tax accounting, acting as a primary liaison between the accounting department, CFOs and the business. Executing the month-end close processes, reconciliations, quarterly outlook and budgeting process, as well as providing customer service to CFO teams and other key stakeholders. Assisting with the interim and annual financial audits, completing various special projects and ad hoc requests as well as management reporting. Accountable for the financial integrity, accuracy and oversight of the financial reporting package. Responsible for providing Balance Sheet, P&L, and financial controls oversight, working to ensure compliance of all financial requirements and reporting are met. Documenting, controlling, reviewing, and improving policy and procedures as well as departmental tasks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Demonstrate appropriate understanding and working knowledge of accounting principles, applying them to provide objective, timely, and accurate financial information to meet regulatory and legislative requirements. Make decisions on more complex issues, giving consideration to relevant costs, benefits and risks. Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to internal customers and management in order to drive business decision making across the company. Facilitate the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information.Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, or related and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as a Tax Accountant, Accounting Specialist, or related.Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: Project management; Accounting standards, regulations, and USGAAP; Financial reporting; Balance sheets and PNL analysis; And Financial modeling of large datasets in Excel.

Minimum Salary: 119,000 Maximum Salary: 210,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
