Description

We are offering a part-time, 2 days/week contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in New York. This role is primarily within the non-profit sector and involves tasks related to travel expense reports and data entry. The workplace environment is supportive and encourages growth in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Utilize Concur and efficient data management and processing.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables)

• Oversee the preparation and submission of travel expense reports.

• Carry out data entry tasks with high levels of accuracy.

• Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial reports.

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure smooth operations.

• Monitor and update financial records regularly.

• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures.

• Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.

• Collaborate with the team to achieve common financial objectives.

Requirements

• Possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in accounting

• Proficient in using Concur software for managing expenses

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables)

• Experience in preparing and managing expense reports

• Excellent data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
