Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the retail industry, located in New York. The role involves processing and maintaining customer credit applications and records, along with resolving inquiries related to the same.

Responsibilities:

• Administration of Accounts Payable (AP) with precision and efficiency

• Maintenance and updating of customer credit records regularly

• Handling customer inquiries and resolving them in a timely manner

• Monitoring and managing customer accounts as required

• Utilizing skills in NetSuite for effective account reconciliation

• Ensuring accurate processing of customer applications

• Taking appropriate action based on customer account monitoring. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role in the finance sector

• Proficient in using Accounts Payable (AP) software and tools

• Demonstrated expertise in using NetSuite for managing financial transactions

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations

• Excellent skills in account reconciliation and ensuring accuracy in financial records

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

• Strong numerical proficiency, attention to detail, and analytical skills

• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field is preferred
