Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist located in New York, New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within the non-profit industry. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will work in coordination with various teams across the organization, managing financial records, invoicing, collecting membership fees, and reconciling various systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial records for new corporate members and existing council members

• Handle the invoicing and collection of membership fees

• Reconcile the CRM system (internal database, SUGAR) to monthly reports and the Accounts Receivable System Module

• Assist with monthly close procedures

• Enter invoices into the Concur system

• Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Invoice, Collections, and Budgeting in daily tasks and responsibilities Requirements • Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Experience with invoicing processes

• Familiarity with collections and recovery procedures

• Ability to develop, implement, and maintain budgeting plans

• Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate financial data

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Proficient in various accounting software and applications

• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in work

• Good organization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous

• Previous experience in a similar role would be considered a plus.
