Description

We are in search of an Algo Trading Software Developer to join our team in the financial services industry, located in New Jersey or New York. The role will involve designing and building a next-generation global algorithmic trading platform, working closely with various teams. This role is a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain a global algorithmic trading platform, including low latency order management and order handling components.

• Collaborate with Quant teams on the implementation of trading algorithms, quantitative models, and analytical signals.

• Work with product and sales teams to address client requests and algorithm customizations.

• Develop innovative solutions in a strategic and pragmatic manner.

• Maintain a collaborative development environment.

• Stay updated on industry trends and aim for continuous improvement.

• Efficiently implement quantitative models, perform statistical data analysis, and conduct simulation and back-testing of strategies.

• Develop expertise in computer technologies including Java, Linux, and OO Design with a focus on performance, re-usability, test automation, and flexibility for customizations.

• Demonstrate ability to work effectively across quant, product, sales, and operations teams.

• Develop skills in a collaborative, team-oriented style.

• Develop low latency trading strategies in Equities, Futures, or Listed Derivatives.

• Gain intimate knowledge of lit and dark market micro-structure, order types, liquidity, market data, and regulatory matters in the US and/or other global markets.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry

• Proficient in Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking

• Strong background in backend development

• Experience in bug tracking to ensure optimal software performance

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java

• Knowledge and experience in database management

• Familiarity with AB Testing to optimize system performance

• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

• Proficiency in Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications

• Experience in API development for integrating different software components

• Knowledge of ASP.NET for web application development

• Experience in algorithm development for creating effective trading strategies.
