Analyst – Leveraged Finance Advisory / Business Development - Investment Banking

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Structure, negotiate and execute syndicated and private credit facilities for leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, refinancings and various other purposes.

  • Participate in negotiations with private equity sponsors and corporate clients on business terms and legal documentation, including grids, commitment / engagement letters, credit agreements and various other financing documentation.

  • Coordinate the closing and execution of leveraged loan facilities, liaising with borrowers, private equity firms, external counsel, banks, institutional investors and internal parties on the closing of transactions.

  • Manage weekly portfolio reporting across underwriting risk, distribution metrics and pipeline, as well as provide the financial performance for the global business.

  • Assist in preparing senior management presentations for business reviews, committee approvals and offsites.

  • Analyze industry data and trends to provide insights to management.

  • Assist in developing annual budgets, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans.

  • Work with various teams on development of sector reviews, pipeline management, competitor analysis and Dealogic/Bloomberg league tables.

  • Participate in ad-hoc business growth initiatives.

  • Assist in completing compliance requests and regulatory inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Contribute to the control functions to manage the Leveraged Finance workflow from origination through deal close, such as document retention and ensuring accurate fee recognition

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience, in Finance, Business, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 1-3+ years of relevant work experience in investment banking or management consulting.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance, investment banking products and legal documentation, with a preference to experience in Leveraged Finance.

  • Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team player and self starter.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $72,000 - $105,000/year
