YOUR IMPACT

The Managed Strategies Team within Asset & Wealth Management ("AWM") is responsible for all discretionary solutions offerings for PWM clients. The team provides clients with liquid, bespoke, actively managed investment opportunities via separately managed accounts and manages $50bn in assets globally.

The team is currently seeking an Analyst to work as a member of the Portfolio Management and Trading team. The role will be aligned with the discretionary option overlay business working closely with the rest of the team to manage and trade option-based strategies. The candidate will also be involved in the ongoing development of the team's suite of offerings and in technology projects to improve risk management infrastructure as the business scales. Additionally, the candidate will frequently liaise with strat teams, external brokers, compliance, legal, and other stakeholders to appropriately specify requirements for the business on a go-forward basis.

Managed Strategies

The Managed Strategies Team partners with clients to identify investment objectives and implement differentiated equity strategies to tailor portfolios to meet both strategic and tactical goals, while maintaining a key risk management focus. The team specializes on 3 key platforms - an option writing strategy, GOAS (Goldman Option Advisory Service), an actively managed structured note investment platform, Beta+, and thematic long-only equity model portfolio implementations via Thematic Marketplace. The team also creates customized options overlay solutions to meet client's risk/return goals and investment objectives.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Actively managing option portfolios alongside senior portfolio managers and traders
  • Executing and booking option trades across different markets: OTC, listed, Index and Single Stock
  • Daily review of current option positions/risk and discussion of trade ideas
  • Manage relationships with internal teams (compliance, legal, operations, technology, strats, sales) as well as external broker-dealers
  • Communicating strategy updates/recommendations
  • Working on wide-ranging projects such as developing new strategies, streamlining processes, improving risk management, or ad-hoc deliverables and analysis as needs arise.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • 0 to 2 years of capital markets experience
  • Strong interest in Equity Derivatives and Risk Management
  • Academic background in a quantitative subject is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Motivated team player who can contribute in a cohesive team environment
  • Independent thinker who is logical and analytical
  • SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 (must be obtained within 3 months of employment)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
