Chobani’s Category Development and Insights team uses category, consumer and shopper insights data to guide decisions made by the broader Demand Department – a united department that integrates marketing, sales, insights, product innovation and commercial finance. As a key member of the Demand Department, this role adds to driving company sales and gaining advantage over competitors by creating valuable tools/programs to uncover category and shopper insights that drive increased performance at retail.  

Responsibilities

Conduct custom quantitative and qualitative primary research to answer critical business questions from Marketing, New Product Development, Creative, Sales, and other cross-functional partners Lead the end-to-end custom research process: Translate business questions into research objectives Design and implement analyses Use statistical skills to clean and analyze data Identify relevant trends within datasets and derive recommendations that promote unbiased evidence-based, data-driven decision-making Visualize the information and present findings, creating a cohesive story in a clear format that makes complex concepts accessible for all audiences Develop and embrace new research methodologies and approaches to produce actionable insights Be an internal source of expertise and excellence on research and insights, and the methods used to gain a greater understanding of our current & potential consumers Maintain research partner relationships, roadmaps, and capabilities Ad hoc business reporting necessary to answer time-sensitive questions Provide marketing intelligence, reporting, and analysis/synthesis in the areas of paid & owned media (TV, experiential, digital, social, website, etc.). Specifically: Evaluate and define metrics and frameworks Understand root causes of changes in metrics and communicate insights effectively Identify levers to move critical metrics Build and automate dashboards and reports Synthesize data from a variety of sources into actionable marketing recommendations and narratives at the organizational, campaign, channel, and tactic levels Lead marketing and media measurement: develop post-campaign analyses, assess return on investment across marketing tactics to inform future strategies/plans, and find opportunities to optimize marketing effectiveness and efficiency by using the Commercial Mix and other attribution models. Lead ongoing brand health tracking  

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required in statistics, economics, econometrics, analytics, or related field a plus 3-5 years of relevant experience within market research/consumer insights desired; experience in CPG industry preferred Experience with marketing analytics tools including marketing mix analysis, multi touch attribution, data management platforms, first party data onboarding, and brand lift studies. Experience working with syndicated sales data such as Nielsen or IRI data. Proficient user of Google Analytics Experience solving business objectives using a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods including but not limited to advertising/creative asset testing, product concept testing, consumer segmentation, brand tracking, social listening, surveying, focus groups, ethnographies, digital communities, IHUTs, IDIs, etc. Demonstrated ability in survey design (monadic, TURF, conjoint, MaxDiff, etc.), programming (i.e., Qualtrics), and analysis using statistical software tools (R/Python preferred, or willingness to learn) Experience with common statistical analysis methods (significance testing, regression modeling, hypothesis testing, multivariate analyses, forecasting/time series, etc.) Ability to weave together many data streams (primary research, 3rd party insights, syndicated data, etc.) into a cohesive and compelling story Ability to balance awareness of the “best” way to approach a research question with a passion for conducting scrappy research when appropriate Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Power Point) Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills Keen attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment both independently and as a teammate Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple projects at once
