Assistant Vice President of Finance & Business Operations (ECP)

POSITION DETAILS

Reporting the Vice President of Finance, Human Resources and Business Development, the Assistant Vice President of Finance & Business Operations will engage in the following responsibilities:

Financial Management

• Responsible for planning, developing, organizing and evaluating the College's administrative and support functions.

• Oversight and management of the non-tax levy budget. Ensuring that the funds are appropriately directed, and budgets are reconciled.

• Responsible for reporting requirements to oversight entities and compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws

• Accountability for maintaining and implementing internal financial controls

• Manage the cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the Vice President and collaborate with the Vice President to establish systems to support program operations.

• Responsible for responding to audit requests from oversight entities.

• Oversees the College's Budget Office, Purchasing, Contracting, Accounts Payable Operations, and Bursar

• Serves as Liaison to internal and external auditors and coordinates audit responses.

• Oversees the College's Accounting department which includes the College’s

• Oversees Office Services (duplicating and mailroom) at three campus locations.

• Monitor Hunter’s funds in the CUNY Investment Pool.

Budgets & Reports

• Responsible for providing timely and accurate analyses of budgets and project proposal

• Oversee the development of the College's $200 million operating budget and financial plan with a focus on leveraging all funding sources.

• Analyze financial data and present financial reports for the various funding streams at Hunter College

QUALIFICATIONS

This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with education and experience. ($225,000 – $235,000)
