The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Position Summary:

This individual will provide support to Primary CLO Structuring/Origination and CLO Syndicate for the origination and execution of primary CLO transactions and “warehouse facilities”. He/she will interact with CLO Issuers, senior execution team members, Middle Office and Operations, Syndicate, Sales, Legal Counsel, Investors, and Rating Agencies throughout all phases of the deal. This person will assist in negotiating and marketing of new issue transactions and will utilize analytical tools and models to produce structure results and reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze portfolio data, coordinate internal processes related to financing and executing term CLO transactions and “warehouse facilities”

  • Optimize transaction parameters and model CLO structures for issuer clients

  • Carry out the execution process of the transaction, including documentation, cash-flow modeling, rating agency analytics, marketing and investor analysis

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Credit, Syndicate, Sales and Trading teams and with third parties such as external Legal Counsel, Trustees, Rating Agencies and Investors

  • Monitor the market, prepare and review materials to update senior bankers, Syndicate, Sales, and CLO Manager clients with current market information

  • Create marketing materials for CLO Issuer and investor clients

  • Participate in conference and investor marketing “road show” meetings and scheduling

  • Prepare and review materials for internal meetings and approvals

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to an analyst on the team

  • Participate in special assignments and projects as required

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Degree in Finance or a Quantitative Discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering) preferred. CFA or working on designation a plus

  • Experience working at a Ratings Agency and/or experience working in a quantitative area i.e. Structuring, Market Risk, or Quantitative Analysis

  • Knowledge of bilateral facilities, Asset Based Lending (ABL), warehouses, and lender finances a plus

  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge about VBA, Python preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability

  • Series 7, 63, and 79 (or obtained shortly after joining)

The typical base pay range for this role is between $175K - $200K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
