This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Environmental Field Inspector in our One Penn Plaza New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Provide oversight of investigation and remediation activities.

  • Prepare daily activity reports.

  • Oversee and log soil borings and monitoring wells.

  • Conduct multimedia environmental sampling and monitoring and interpret the results.

  • Perform project research and data gathering.

  • Prepare report materials including text, figures, and drawings.

  • Prepare plans and specifications.

  • Attention and commitment to timely completion of high-quality work.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline.

  • 1 to 3 years of prior experience performing site investigation and remediation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

  • Ability to travel around the NY/NJ Metro area.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.

  • Prior experience providing environmental services in and for NYS and/or NYC agencies.

  • ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD and/or Microstation, Surfer or similar technical software experience.

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers).

WSP Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $64,100 - $105,820

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
