Intra-Cellular Therapies is expanding our Marketing Team to support access to CAPLYTA, and we seek an Associate Director of Access Marketing and Regional Pull-through to join our team!

This position will be responsible for execution of the national and regional access marketing promotion and strategy for CAPLYTA. The role involves a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring successful market access, reimbursement, and customer engagement. The Associate Director of Access Marketing and Regional Pull-through will play a crucial role in ensuring that CAPLYTA achieves successful market access and reimbursement, ultimately supporting its commercial success and patient access.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies to ensure optimal reimbursement and access to CAPLYTA.

  • Develop the value proposition of CAPLYTA in collaboration with Marketing and the broader access team, channel specific strategies and branded promotional initiatives.

  • Provide stakeholder updates as needed (e.g., regularly update the Senior Director of Marketing on the status of payer marketing projects and performance metrics and ensure timely communication of key developments, challenges, etc.).

  • Potentially segment the payer landscape to prioritize and tailor strategies for different payer groups (e.g., commercial insurers, government programs, PBMs)

  • Collaborate with Marketing and ITCI stakeholders to build, manage and execute marketing plans to achieve business objectives.

  • Support the Market Access team and Sales Training team with brand strategy, budget planning and development of promotional materials to support the National Account Managers and the sales force (payer deck, payer ad boards, PIE deck, formulary tool kit, pull-through resources etc.).

  • Collaborate with Medical and HEOR teams to generate and disseminate evidence supporting the clinical and economic value of CAPLYTA.

  • Monitor, track, analyze and present payer marketplace trends and insights and pull through analyses as needed.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of payer marketing strategies and initiatives.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance and Legal teams to ensure alignment and consistency of the overarching access messaging for CAPLYTA.

  • Drive and participate in business and marketing plans and training process.

  • Train and support field-based teams on payer-related topics and strategies (e.g., overview of hub support offerings).

  • Lead and manage external vendors and partnerships.

  • Influence business leaders and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results.

  • Responsible and accountable for payer resource support, on-going planning around messaging, and communications for field facing teams.

  • Develop and execute targeted sales force plans and pull-through materials to maximize access wins.

  • Responsible for development of field communications, training support and VEEVA CRM support as needed.

  • Create, distribute, and track access materials (vouchers, savings brochures etc.) as needed.

  • Develop product enhancements and experiences when it comes to the patient journey, including adherence programs.

  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of marketing materials and conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies.

  • Coordinate with the Market Research & Sales Ops stakeholders to identify research, insight, and measurement needs to inform spend, performance, or message optimizations.

  • Closely partner with the sales force to ensure effective communication, training, and messages are delivered and customer needs are being met.

  • Support brand planning and may track and/or help prepare annual budget/forecast for marketing.

  • May manage inventory levels and distribution of promotional materials.

  • Collaborate with key cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Sales Team, Peer Review Committees, Corporate Communications, Commercial Development, Market Access, and Patient Support, serving as the source of brand knowledge.

  • Partner with Marketing Analytics team to identify & implement advanced measurement studies that will demonstrate the business impact being driven by marketing investments as needed.

  • Evaluate new & innovative marketing opportunities and provide perspective for adoption (where appropriate).

  • Complete all ad hoc projects that are assigned.

  • Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within the required timelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • Previous payer marketing experience required, with cross channel marketing experience preferred.

  • Must have 7+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology company or media agency with some payer pharmaceutical experience.

  • CNS, digital and sales training, launch experience is preferred.

  • Regional, VA, DOD, IDN and GPO experience is nice to have.

  • Must possess strong project management, prioritization, and organization skills, with a drive to meet deadlines and deliver quality work.

  • Must have high degree of market access knowledge, industry insights, product launch experience, and presentation skills required.

  • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Must have 4+ years of experience managing promotional budgets with strong business analysis skills.

  • Outstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple vendors, marketing partners and agency partners with understanding of digital implementation (e.g., programming/development, QA testing, FormTrak, integration of targeted payer data into IVA etc.).

  • Deep understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues.

  • Excellent listening, presentation, writing, editing and communication skills with ability to present to senior management when needed.

  • Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

  • The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required – up to 30%.
