Program Overview:

NADAP's CareerCompass, one component in HRA’s initiative to address the unique needs of improving employment and training outcomes in NYC, provides orientation, comprehensive and individual employability assessments and service coordination for adults 25 years of age and older. As the first step in HRA’s programming, CareerCompass will identify and connect individuals to an education, training and/or employment track.

Job Summary:

To provide administrative support to CareerCompass program, and management, complete various projects to assist in the achievement of program goals. Responsible for front desk duties including greeting all incoming clients, answering and routing calls, and other clerical tasks as required. Provide assistance in the following areas: scoring of assessments, collecting documents for time keeping, attendance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all front desk duties including answering phones, greeting clients, monitoring sign-­in sheet and checking clients in and out of the program.

  • Monitor and maintain waiting area and inform management of any client security-related issues immediately.

  • Responsible for collection of participants' timekeeping documentation in both hard copy and electronic form, reviewing documentation carefully to ensure documentation is in compliance with program policies and procedures.

  • Assist with Metrocard distribution to eligible clients and obtain client signatures in the Metrocard Log.

  • Assist Business & Operations Manager with data analysis and reconciliations, as needed.

  • Assist with attendance tracking and meeting timekeeping deadlines for all CareerCompass clients and ensure accuracy of reporting engagement activities

  • Assist with scanning, and making copies for clients, staff and program needs, including copies and scanning of handouts and other materials for daily orientation and other workshops.

  • Conduct Inventory and monitor supply usage and prepare monthly supply request within allocated budget.

  • Assist with restocking of office supplies and kitchen pantry items daily.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish speaker required.

  • High school diploma required.

  • One year of related experience.

  • Experience working with similar client population is required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Working in an automated on-line system, demonstrates proficiency in use of applied information technology and on-line database systems; demonstrates keyboarding speed proficiency and accuracy.

  • Must have excellent customer service and presentation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $38,000/year
