JPMorgan Chase Business Operations Associate - Machine Learning Center of Excellence in New York, New York

The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is on a mission to revolutionize the firm's data and analytics journey, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security while utilizing it to generate insights and promote decision-making. The CDAO, with the help of Machine Learning Center of Excellence (MLCOE), is also harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management. The MLCOE, a community of experts focused on Machine Learning, collaborates with teams across all functions and lines of business, employing cutting-edge techniques in various domains.

As an Associate within the Business Operations team, you will be a central member of the MLCOE, working closely with senior leaders, data scientists, engineers, product managers and more. You will partner with multiple supporting functions including Business Support Management, Human Resources, Real Estate and Global Technology. Your responsibilities will include supporting and leading day-to-day business operations, assisting with business administration, recruitment, new joiner orientation, expense management, and marketing/event planning. You will also respond to general enquiries from the team related to internal compliance, controls or policies. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, tenacious and able to work expeditiously with a high degree of independence. You should possess impeccable written and oral communications skills, as well as organizational skills and an attention to detail. You will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the on/off boarding process for MLCOE employees, complimentary to Firmwide processes

  • Partner with Business Support Management (BSM), HR and hiring managers to assist onboarding and orientation for individual employees across our global team

  • Partner with BSM to manage real estate including technology equipment, space planning and execution of location strategies

  • Assist the MLCOE Chief of Staff with effective expense management including budgeting, cost tracking, invoice submission and policy adherence

  • Assist marketing for internal and external events, including managing space, logistics and marketing materials

  • Providing general support to team members related to internal compliance, controls or other firm policies

  • Partner or lead on other bespoke business operations projects as required

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated, tenacious, and can work independently

  • They should possess excellent communication skills, and superb organizational and project management abilities

  • They must be a great team player and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, where tasks and can change rapidly

  • They must have expert-level familiarity with MS Outlook and intermediate knowledge of other Office tools, inc Excel, PowerPoint etc

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in business management, preferably in AI/ML, technology or financial services

Base Pay/Salary

New York, NY $80,750.00 - $130,000.00 / year
