About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Accountability Specialist (VP) to join our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Market Conduct and Supervision team. Ideal candidates will have in-depth an understanding of Corporate & Investment Banking's Businesses, products, key financial and non-financial risks and controls, and possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a self-driven work approach. In this role, you will:
Support end-to-end design, data analysis, testing and implementation of Market Conduct & Supervision related controls for Unauthorized Trading including:
Assisting in requirements definition and data analysis to build evidence-based control activities
Supporting workstream leads and leadership with data analysis to determine feasibility and options for various controls
Performing data analysis across centralized and de-centralized data sources to automate where feasible
Developing prototypes and working with support functions to refine and calibrate
Executing control activities in BAU and partner with business counterparts to escalated identified exceptions (e.g., anomalous trade alerts, trading outside of mandates)
Communicating and training of employees for new or enhanced associated controls
Work with Control focus areas including Unauthorized Trading, including but not limited to:
Digitizing trader mandates across CIB's various businesses and asset classes (FICC, Equities)
Enabling ongoing monitoring against mandates across businesses and asset classes and developing sustainable monitoring mechanisms against mandates
Developing and implementing scenarios to identify anomalous trading scenarios related to Market Conduct risk across individual trader activity
Work with functions across first line, including Business Heads, Business Control Management, leadership to socialize, workshop, calibrate controls
Partner with 2LoD Compliance to execute Market Conduct & Supervision related policies, procedures and associated governance routines
Generate ad-hoc reports and materials for senior leadership to communicate control outcomes and other key metrics, KRIs and KPIs
Required Qualifications, US:
- 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of advanced data analytics tooling experience (e.g., SQL, VBA, SAS, or similar)
Experience in Capital Markets business environment, including products and services, data flows, trade lifecycle(s) and relevant risks
Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Ability support ongoing tracking against project plans, and execute on the different phases of the delivery lifecycle
Experience partnering with technology throughout the development lifecycle
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Demonstrated experience in a Trading, Trade Support, Operations, or Middle Office role
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Strong partnership, collaboration, and communication skills across numerous functions and seniority levels
Familiarity and experience with Agile software development methodology and the ability to document business requirements in the form of user-stories
Process definition and documentation experience associated with controls and procedures
Experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting results and recommendations to senior management
Ability to identify, assess and confidently raise risks and issues, escalate early, and independently engage in constructive credible challenge
Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Experience with tools and applications such as Tableau, Visio and Power BI

New York, NY: $133,300 - $237,800
