  • Salary Range: $62,400 - $64,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Division of General Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator. The successful candidate will work under the leadership of Principal Investigators to coordinate research procedures and data collection for government-funded studies on the role of sleep in behavioral and pharmacological interventions for cardiometabolic health.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and screen prospective study participants.
  • Manage the scheduling of study visits.
  • Prepare and maintain manuals of procedures.
  • Assist with internal study visits, including administering questionnaires, overseeing behavioral tests, and processing biospecimens.
  • Coordinate secure data sharing with external site teams.
  • Score data from wearable devices and apply algorithms to behavioral and biomarker data.
  • Maintain internal databases rigorously and prepare quarterly query reports and resolutions.
  • Prepare documents for renewals, modifications, yearly submissions, audits, and IRB correspondence for trials.
  • Maintain laboratory supply inventories, manage the procurement of laboratory and office supplies, and confirm invoices for study-related expenses.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific or health related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, plus 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Self-motivated with ability to exercise initiative and judgment.
  • Close attention to detail, and solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working or volunteering in laboratory or clinic-based settings.
  • Clinical or public health research experience.
  • Previous coursework in statistics.
  • Strong writing skills.

Other Requirements

  • Participation in the medical surveillance program
    • Contact with patients and/or human research participants
    • Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
  • Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
