Morgan Stanley Compensation Manager in New York, New York

The Compensation team specializes in ensuring the firm has competitive and cost-effective compensation policies and practices. Responsible for compensation implementation (e.g., salary, annual and long-term incentive), program design, and administration for exempt and non-exempt staff, Year End management, Regulatory filings, Market data, Compensation accruals and Committee/Board Level meetings. Functions within the Compensation team include the BU compensation team and the Regulatory Remuneration team.

Morgan Stanley's Rewards & Analytics is seeking a HR professional with 5-7 years of compensation-related experience to join the Investment Management Compensation team.

The primary functions of the group include, but are not limited to: - Compensation expense planning/forecasting, coordinating monthly bonus accrual, and preparation of base salary budgets - all with accompanying analytics - Facilitate the year-end salary and bonus processes - Preparation of compensation related modelling and analytics to create senior management exhibits and presenting to management teams to make critical business decisions - Preparation of a wide variety of human capital analytics - Collaboration with various partners, including Finance, Payroll, Executive Compensation, and Business-specific and firmwide Compensation Teams - Market Data Coordination and Vendor Relations

Bachelor's Degree 2-3 Years Professional Related Work Experience Ability to develop analytics from multiple streams of data, interpret & analyze trends, develop meaningful story/recommendation and communicate the information in a logical concise way Must have ability to manage projects in addition to daily responsibilities, ensuring accurate delivery of product to senior management and external stakeholders Strong process and project-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, re-prioritize as needed and problem-solve autonomously Strong client focus and team player Must have superior attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English with ability to convey complex ideas clearly & concisely Strong Microsoft Excel skills and exposure to Microsoft Access preferred Interest in learning new systems and technologies Enjoy high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic environment Approaches work with mindset to continuously improve and streamline processes

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
