Description

A New York City based investment and real estate company in Midtown New York seeks a Controller for their family office. This is a hands-on role handling accounting and operation issues. This opportunity is open due to the retirement of the incumbent. The Controller will start in the office with the potential of working a day from home after several months. This will work closely with the President and other family members. Experience in a similar environment is preferred. A strong proficiency in QuickBooks is also preferred.

Major responsibilities include:

-Performing the investment accounting and analysis functions

-Handling all accounting and reporting functions

-Special projects for the CEO

-Reviewing and assisting the outside auditing firm on tax and audit issues
