Morgan Stanley Corporate Lending Product Control, Director/Manager in New York, New York

Team Profile: The Corporate Lending Finance team is part of the overall Investment Banking/Global Capital Markets Product Control team. The team is responsible for the controllership and business advisory. It works closely with the Business Unit to understand new deals' economics and ensure they are correctly reported using appropriate accounting guidelines depending on the region and legal entities. The team has Global coverage of the daily Loans Profit & Loss reporting covering the Relationship and Event Lending portfolios within Global Capital Markets. The team also completes all month-end and quarter-end reconciliations to substantiate the balance sheet for regulatory disclosures. Provides ad-hoc analyses and commentary about the business performance and revenue drivers, in addition to working on projects and initiatives to improve efficiencies.

Department Profile: The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

You will: - Focus primarily on Business Advisory and controllership following Regulatory guidelines. -Work on Projects for process enhancements and create efficiencies, working closely with IT and different Finance teams. - Work closely with Business Unit, Risk Management, Technology, Operations, and other Controllers on a day-to-day basis to provide feedback and solutions on proposed structures and transactions. - Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for the Business Unit and Finance Management. - Work with various Legal Entity Controllers on legal entity reporting, analysis and audits. - Provide subject matter expertise in key initiatives, including new product reviews and Transfer Pricing. - Analyze the impact of new rules and regulations on business financials and processes.

You have: - 5 years of relevant experience - Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field - Prior loan/syndication experience highly desirable/preferable - Strong analytical and technical skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Alteryx (highly desirable). - Basic understanding of Capital Markets. - Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. - Outstanding attention to detail and follow up. - Excellent organizational skills. - Aptitude to multitask, and work in a fast changing, dynamic environment.
