"Our client, a leading higher education organization is looking for a Creative Lead / Senior Designer.This role will report into the AVP for Marketing and Communications and is responsible for shaping and maintaining a cohesive visual identity and the creative direction for the organization.Creative Lead / Senior Designer Responsibilities:- Produce and direct all visual content for print, digital, and other mediums, including managing production for design, photography, video, and digital, and sourcing and overseeing other professionals where necessary to build multi-platform communication strategies- Provide creative design, direction, strategy, brand building and project supervision in developing multitiered marketing campaigns, for both prospective and current students, current and prospective donors. - Collaborate with web team to create and manage content (text, photo, and video) - Ensure all creative is in alignment with brand strategies and guidelines- Effectively communicate design concepts to supervisors and colleagues- Prepare files and print specifications for vendorsCreative Lead / Senior Designer Requirements:- Bachelors Degree (required), Degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related degree is preferred. - 8+ years of creative design experience, including 5 years of team leadership experience - Previous art direction experience required - Professional experience leading in-house or freelance creative team at a nonprofit, education, cultural organization highly preferred. - Presentation of a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design skills and ability to inspire and lead a design team - Fully proficient in standard design tools include Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite - An excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and user-centered design principles - Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior management, stakeholders, other departments, etc. - Knowledge of American Jewish history and community, or desire to learn - Broad understanding of issues and policies in higher education - High level of confidentialityOur client offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
