IHS Global Inc. seeks a Data Scientist who will work closely with various stakeholders to collect, clean, model and visualize datasets. Create data-driven insights by researching, designing, and implementing Machine Learning (ML) models to deliver insights and implement action-oriented solutions to complex business problems. Drive ground-breaking ML technology within the Modelling and Data Science team. Extract hidden value insights and enrich accuracy of the datasets. Leverage technology and automate workflows creating modernized operational processes aligning with the team strategy. Understand, implement, manage, and maintain analytical solutions and techniques independently. Collaborate and coordinate with Data, Content and Modeling teams and provide analytical assistance of various commodity datasets. Drive and maintain high quality processes and deliver projects in collaborative Agile team environments.REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Information Technology and Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related IT field plus two (2) years of experience in quantitative analysis, data science, or a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Python, R, Java, SQL, and C# programming; Researching, identifying, and analyzing data enrichments and presenting findings; Statistical models and data analysis methods; Applying Machine Learning techniques to big data; Working on end-to-end data science pipelines: problem scoping, data gathering, EDA, modelling, insights, visualizations, monitoring, and maintenance; Data automation using Python programming and Machine Learning.LOCATION: 55 Water Street, New York, NY 10041 (Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.)SALARY RANGE:The anticipated base salary range for this position is $111,966 to $115,850. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications.
