Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in New York, New York

Description We are in the process of recruiting a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in the Asset Management industry based in New York, New York. This role provides a short term contract employment opportunity and involves managing and providing support to our desktop systems. The Desktop Support Analyst will be primarily responsible for configuring and shipping requested items, handling hardware requests, setting up workstations, and ensuring laptops are in a ready-to-go state.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the configuration and shipment of all requested items, ensuring they meet the specified requirements.

• Handle incoming requests for remote hardware effectively and promptly.

• Manage the reclamation and processing of hardware used by terminated users.

• Conduct workstation set-ups and deploy docking stations to users as required.

• Coordinate the deployment of webcams or other peripherals requested by users returning to the office.

• Pre-image, patch, and verify laptops to ensure they are in a ready-to-go state.

• Maintain an efficient system for managing asset management.

• Upgrade hardware as necessary to ensure optimal system performance.

• Utilize Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and other relevant skills to execute job responsibilities effectively.

• Ensure active management of Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Mac computers, as well as Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows 7, and Microsoft Windows 8. Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

• Experience with Active Directory

• Knowledge of Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Mac Computers

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows 7, and Microsoft Windows 8

• Understanding of Asset Management principles

• Ability to work with imaging devices

• Capable of performing hardware upgrades

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Relevant experience in a similar role would be an advantage
