Dietary Assistant I

Full Time

Position Summary:

Processes diet changes for all meals, modifies tray tickets accordingly. Provides outstanding customer service while conducting spoken menu service to patients on assigned floors. Collaborates with all Food & Nutrition staff and Nursing to provide the highest standards of patient care and teamwork. Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through essential. Assists in the set-up, clean up, and maintenance of the Main Kitchen for all related food service activities as assigned.

JOB

Responsibilities include:

  • Diet changes and spoken menus for all meals on assigned floors

  • Assists with breakfast service on assigned floor

  • Communicates patient concerns, issues, complaints immediately to appropriate staff for follow-through

  • Provides excellent handoffs and works well with team members; interfaces with nursing staff on assigned floor three times per day to ensure patient diet changes are entered and current in Epic

  • Ensures diet orders, food allergies, and intolerances entered in Epic system match Diet Office Software system (Cbord)

  • Alerts supervision of any software-related issue (Epic or Cbord)

  • Provides Main Kitchen meal preparation support and relievesFood Service Aide positions as needed

  • Must be flexible with last minute changes to work assignments

  • Must have strong computer skills

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $27.63/Hr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $28.68/Hr.
