The Director of Global Anti-Corruption will report to the Global Head of Anti-Corruption for Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC), and will ensure enterprise-wide compliance with AXP anti-corruption standards and global anti-corruption laws.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Global Anti-Corruption (GAC) team is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company’s Anti-Corruption program. Working closely with the Global Head of Anti-Corruption, the qualified candidate will be responsible for: establishing policies and procedures for the giving and receiving of Meals, Gifts & Entertainment; ensuring effective anti-corruption due diligence during third-party lifecycle management; providing oversight of external incentive programs; developing and providing anti-corruption training; providing reporting, metrics and guidance to compliance and business partners (for example, as part of the GFCC’s New Product Acceptance Working Group and Corporate Development activities).

Additionally, the candidate will need to successfully manage a team of 3 managers and 6 analysts to execute against the team’s strategic project roadmap. Priority projects include: enhancements to the anti-corruption due diligence process; further refining customizable reports; overseeing the Anti-Corruption Risk Assessment; and preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations on program metrics and process enhancements at monthly compliance committee meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, take on additional responsibilities, and prioritize work in a deadline-intensive environment

  • Ability to work on multiple work streams across multiple business lines at the same time

  • Ability to operate in a complex matrix environment

  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage and influence

  • Support business initiatives by building and maintaining strong relationships with peers and key partners outside of the compliance organization (e.g. GCO, Technology, Finance, Risk, Ops Excellence, Audit)

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong personal integrity and work ethic

  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint skills

  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, adaptable and detail oriented with a proven ability to work independently or within a team environment.

Experience:

  • 5 years of anti-corruption experience preferred

  • Significant project management experience

  • Ability to influence others who are outside your reporting line

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant professional qualification preferred (Law Degree, Compliance/AML Diploma, CAMS Certification with a Legal/Compliance/Control/Auditing background)

Qualifications

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
