    A Day in the Life

    This position is responsible to lead and drive brand growth for the Ever hair care franchise, developing innovative strategies and go-to-market plans for both new launches and core businesses with executional excellence. The Marketing Director responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough communications and data-driven marketing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, media planning and spend review, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth for this innovative and loved brand.

    Requirements

  • BA degree required.

  • 7-10 years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)

  • Experience working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation

  • Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle

  • Prior experience in Operational Marketing

  • Demonstrated L’Oréal Competencies: Leadership, Entrepreneurial Management, Achiever, and Innovator

  • Brand Administration: create project plan according to panier portfolio gaps; in-depth knowledge of brand equity and management

  • Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data

  • Leadership: Demonstration of leadership with team; support departments and customers

  • Strong Project Management Skills

  • PC Proficiency (Microsoft Suite)

  • Information & Data management

  • Rigorous quantitative data analysis skills

  • Prioritization & Organization Skills

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)

  • Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to métier

  • Must be professional and energetic with a positive attitude

    Responsibilities

    New Product Launches:

  • Ownership and responsibility for supervising entire go-to-market process across multiple launches- shopper, social, media, education, etc.

  • Participate in selling project to management at large

  • Generate long term strategic development

  • Collaborate with Creative to create launch materials including merchandising and sampling

    Strategy & Planning:

  • Drive the research, analysis, category trends and insights to develop long term strategy

  • Oversee and guide plans development and create vision for businesses

  • Contribute to total category strategy / plans

  • Responsible for owning strategy for Sales and Trade planning

    Financial P&L and Forecasting:

  • Ownership of entire process

  • Understand and manage financial implication of forecast (i.e.) E10 and Full year number

  • Own accuracy of all budgets and roll up of total category with finance

  • Manage budget allocation between spending buckets and brands with peers

    Promotions/Advertising/Media:

  • Work intimately with agency partners to create breakthrough consumer communications in all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital data driven activations

  • Influence media recommendation and direction

    People Management:

  • Develop and manage junior talent on the team to ensure they maximize their professional growth and overall output of the team

  • Salary Range : $140,100– $203,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.)
